Need some fantasy books recommendation!

I am a wheel of time fan, and deeply enjoy reading the wheel of time series. I am about to finish reading the last book of the wheel of time series.

I need something new to read, something that is preferably similar to the wheel of time series.

I like stories where the hero is the hero, where black and white are clearly defined, something similar to the wheel of time series.

Any recommendations?

Not read Wheel of Time, but for "the hero is the hero" Elizabeth Moon's Paksenarrion books are a reasonable bet.
Also look at the thread about heroic characters - not quite sure where that is, but remember contributing to it the other week.
