What do you have?

In our house I'm DC, my partner is Marvel. And generally the figures that we each have have been bought by the other person as present.

I have a mini Batwoman (favourite comic character), Ozymandias and Silk Spectre (my two favourite Watchmen) and a Wonder Woman with thighs that could crush the earth (I could go on about the presentation of women in comics, but one thing that irks me is the lack of muscles on them. Wonder Woman especially should be solid and my partner bought me this one because of that).

He has Thanos, Lady Death and Mephisto (his favourite character).

Wonder Woman is what made me think of this thread, though. I've just come across this new figure.

LOOK AT IT. Glorious. That right there is Wonder Woman. Stern, powerful, a force to be reckoned with. I think all the Trinity should look at least mid-forties (a really robust, peak-of-fitness mid-40 of course) and the recent deaging of everyone at DC annoyed me, so this...ugh, I waaaaant.

$399.00, though. Ouch. Anyone want to buy it for me?

Would you promise to dust it regularly?

The only figure I ever wanted was Kaneda and his bike, from Akira. I made up for it by getting my own red bike -- which I sold when it became clear that crashes and near-misses in real life weren't as much fun as they looked in animated films.

Once upon a time I did almost buy myself a Gambit figurine. Then I thought, no, I don't need any more random stuff.

(I know this is the graphic novel forum but...)

I do have a cabinet full of Tudor Mint Myth and Magic dragons. Including this'n:

Which definitely means no room for Gambit.

I stuck it in this forum because that's what I was whaffling on about, but please do share stories/photos of any figures!

We also have a motley collection of Halo figures, including an orange one that looks a lot like my in-game Halo 4 Spartan.

PS, you should definitely get a Gambit.

I have Robot from Lost In Space TV series, Robbie from Forbidden Planet, Metaluna Mutant and Interocitor from This Island Earth, Alien from ...you've guessed it.... Alien:D, Shuttlecraft Galileo from Star Trek (also a Bat'leth letter opener - really sharp- and a Mark 2 Phaser. ...dunno if they count).

I believe you can actually get that done at Monsters In Motion but (unsurprisingly) it costs a helluvalot more.

Muhaha. Join ussss.

And yeah, it can be difficult to find female figures that aren't just to appeal to...a certain demographic. Which is why I love that Wonder Woman so much; it gets her character so well.

A life size?! Whoa! I'm not even an ardent fan of the films but I'd have that. Mostly to freak people out when they come to my house.

I've been a collector for most of my life, Star Wars for me. More recently focusing on Millennium Falcon items only. For me, it was the best decision of my collecting life as I'm actively looking for new items to add to my collection. There's just so much weird and cool stuff out there.

My favorite item is the Master Replicas Studio Scale model of the Millennium Falcon. I was lucky enough to get a shot at one of the Signature editions. I still need to source an acrylic cover for it.

Collecting has certainly turned into an expensive affair now. Sideshow, Hot Toys and Bowen produce the most impressive statues IMO. QMx have the best studio scale models. (I'd love one of their "Big Damn Replica" of the Serenity.)
