I am looking for a novel, which is science fiction but has also some fantasy elements. It seems to be more fantasy, there is not much high technology. It is set in a future where Europe is threatened by an ice age, because the Gulf Stream is blocked by an mountain chain under the sea. There are two peoples, one lives under the earth and the other above ground. I don’t remember the novel in detail, but maybe there was some kind of love story between two people from the two “races”. The novel could be written by a Scandinavian author. I think at the end, there are some changes, for example the Gulf Stream flows again to Europe’s coasts.
