Pug & the Pavilion of the Gods?

I just have to start this with I have a terrible memory (which really does suck for reading), so I could be completely off with anything I say.

But I vaguely remember in one of the books, I think it may of been in the Serpent War Saga, Pug travelling up to the Pavilion of the gods.
Does anyone remember which book that was in?

I think an earlier series. Wasn't it a son that visited it in the Serpent War Saga? Or perhaps another book.
I must re-read that shelf
