I learnt about this book a few weeks ago and given the rave reviews its been getting, I just couldn't resist buying it.

Haven't started it yet, but I'm wondering if anybody else has come across it.

Its a teen romance a la Twilight- and I don't normally buy this sort of thing, but when the boy in this boy / girl equation is Cthulhu himself, interest is peaked. And given how good its supposed to be even according to people who hate this kind of book, who am I to say no?

The author is an American single mom making her literary debut. Now, there is in fact a certain...open secret about her, but if anyone doesn't know this, please read first. I'd be delighted to know what you thought of it.

Anyone who does know this secret, or would like to know, I'd be happy if you treated it as a spoiler. I'm not sure if it would change what anyone thinks of the novel- though it might spark an...ethical...debate-, but I'm curious.
