Hi all,

I have some stuff that is never going to see the light of day via commercial or free e-magazine channels (awkward length, unfashionable genre, etc.). I don't have a blog nor the time to maintain one.

Can anyone recommend a 'free to read' site that allows for reader feedback (the primary aim of this exercise)?

Cheers,

Martin

You could always post something for Critique - else see if Gary Compton might be open for submissions?

Thanks Brian.

Reiver it would be like England winning the world cup to publish something of yours so PM or email me with anything. Like Brian, I have always loved your writing. :)

What I do, Reiver, is simply post to Deviantart. It can be rather hard for writers to get any recognition there, though...

Wow, Karn, I thought I was alone in that regard. I post there, too. Just my 300 worders so far with a bit of simple art-ish cover work. Nice to be in such good company!

And to echo Gary, I've always loved your writing, too, reiver33.

Is there some formatting trick to using Wattpad that I'm missing? It only wants .txt uploads but when I 'save as' from Word 2003 and import I get an enforced semi double-spacing which collapses (individual lines) when trying to introduce even a modicum of presentational formatting...

HubPages might suit your purposes. It's even possible to get a small amount of income from it; the way it's done is that the site itself plasters every page with ads and the Hubbers (as they call contributors) get some of the affiliate fees.

I'm on there with the nom de blog "Nutrition Guy" - all of the articles I have on there are related to nutritional and herbal medicine (which used to be my business). But people do put up fiction on it. I would suggest serialising any longer works.
