DISCUSSION -- July 2014 300-word Writing Challenge (#14)

The entry thread needs to be locked.

I could have a good few ideas for this...the trouble is, I've done as many as I could think of in the past. But it looks like this will be a heck of a month.

Locked. :) We shall have to give Ursa forty lashes with a wet noodle.

Good thing nobody's quite that fast with 300!

Quite unusual, I had an idea the instant I saw the photo.

Great picture.

I started 2 stories and turfed them both...not sure where to go with it

Yeah ratsy, that's me too.

I must have written and deleted the first line of one story over 30 times already.

I'd like a picture of something like a stapler or a shoe? - Some inanimate object to focus on. This picture is beaming out ideas and tales so fast that I can't catch them!

A good challenge though :D

There's a lawn chair over on the left side -- will that do for a stapler? :D

Oh, dear, I just realized tomorrow is the 10th.

Wow Dusty - you must have eagle eyes, I hadn't spotted that!

I managed to finish one idea today, but there's still time to write a backup story about Old Lawny-McLawnerson and his lawn chair ;)

Does he live in Lawndon? Or, uh, Lawnston. Which is, of course, in Cornwall. ;)

I'm in! I wanted to enter early this time so I could sit back and enjoy the stories as they come in.

Loved the photo this month, btw moderators! It was beautiful, and should inspire an exciting array of stories!

ps--Dusty, I cannot believe you spotted that lawn chair! I never would have seen it! I'm glad I don't have to change my story for knowing of it!! :)

Well, I did have a slightly larger version of it. :D (There are several people over there, too, but they kind of get lost in the dark.)

I can't believe it's already the 10th. Somewhere, anyway.
