If they were to do this it might make the perfect venue for amazon to showcase how they mean to change the way traditional publishing works. Or it might be just the thing to reveal their true intent. It will still be interesting to watch.

My guess is that it didn't and the blogger is trying to be sensational. There is no reason for Amazon to buy S&S and no reason to sell to Amazon. This is just about pricing again, nothing more. I suspect the blogger just needs more visits to their blog!
