One of the titles I'll be launching at Worldcon is Nina Allan's debut novel, The Race. I found this a quite astonishing work, which I'm very privileged to publish.
Delighted to say that the first reviews seem to feel the same. Strange Horizons says:
"Every now and then, a debut novel knocks you blind... The Race will, as the best fiction should, have your compass spinning."
Strange Horizons Reviews: The Race by Nina Allan, reviewed by Dan Hartland
And Rising Shadow seems pretty impressed too:
A review of Nina Allan's The Race
The Race is available now on kindle (for less than the price of a pint) and the hardcopy can be pre-ordered at the SpaceWitch site
The Race by Nina Allen | SpaceWitch.com
or, of course, at Amazon.
If you haven't discovered Nina's writing yet, this is a great place to start.
