I've just registered for this. http://www.nesfa.org/boskone/

Boston, Feb 13-15 2015.

They always seem to have great writing panels and great guests/attendees from the SFF writing/publishing world, so I'm really looking forward to it. No program details yet.

I thought I'd post, on the off-chance that any Chronners might happen to be hanging around New England in February and would like to meet up there. :D

That looks really good Juliana. I really like David Anthony Durham's Acacia series. Would like to shake that guys hand :)

So, I'm getting ridiculously excited for this. Not only will I hopefully get the chance to sign up for some of the kaffeeklatches, but there are some awesome writing panels, like 'Writing Fight and Combat Scenes' (very me, for those who've read my stuff) and Worldbuilding in MG fiction. Scott Lynch is doing one on 'Sidekicks and Henchmen' that sounds amazing...

Some good YA specific ones, too, like 'PG13: Violence, Sex and Teen Readers'.

Also, as I was feeling bad about hogging an entire two-bed room when the hotel is full up, I've ended up with two room mates I don't know, both con regulars, and due to a request from the organizing committee we've just been transferred to the 'party floor'. So ulp! It'll either be really great fun or a raving disaster. :D

I'll write a nice, long blog post about it when I get back. If I survive the 'room on the party floor' thing, that is!

Hope you're surviving the weekend! Did you get to meet David Anthony Durham?

Cant wait to hear about the event and party floor o_O

Didn't meet him, but I did get a one-on-one kaffeeklatsch (because no one else showed up due to the blizzard) with Ginjer Buchanan, recently retired Editor in Chief of Ace, who is lovely and chatted to me for well over an hour about the publishing world. Will have to do a full blog update on everything when I manage to get home!
