I'm trying to find the term when one looks to a light, closes their eyes and still sees it. Or enters a dark room from the bright outside. Is entoptic images or illusion the right term?

Actually I think calling entoptic phenomena hallucinations is not quite correct. Hallucinations and optical illusions refer to perceptual effects generated by the brain. Entoptic phenomena refer to perceptual effects caused by physical aspects of the eye itself such as imperfections in the vitreous humour causing so called 'floaters.' However I completely agree that afterimage is the word I'd use for what Chris has described.
