Had it delivered yesterday, must admit I was quite impressed. It's a hefty thing, beautiful artwork, really good quality paper and a lot more in it to read than I expected. Can't imagine me reading it from cover to cover, looks more like something I'll dip in and out of

I just got my copy today. Going to read it over weekend most likely. I did skim through it and it looks wonderful.

Tonight's plan is to eat at least one whole bag of chips, mayhaps two, and drink some scotch while enjoying the first seasonal snowfall...

Tyrion does not eat barbecue flavored chips... he eats Blackwater Crisps.

Just picked up my copy yesterday. A bit expensive, but I am impressed with the production quality of the book. Looking forward to a good, long read tonight over a nice bottle of the red stuff.

A Dornish red?

I've read the opening, the ages of prehistory, and through the conquest. The main narrative is written from the perspective of a maester... as his life's work. He's presented this history to Tommen I as a tribute to the Baratheon dynasty.

i also read the preview, i liked the fact joffrey's name was rubbed out and replaced by Tommen, nice touch.

I liked the reference to Lords Grover and Elmo Tully. I thought Lord Kermit Tully was a step too far though. And the other one I noticed, much to my amusement, was the Stormking Baldrik the Cunning. I laughed out loud!

i read parts of it in the store... will prob. read some more when next i have some free time waiting for my bus. Don't really feel like buying it though.

i've been reading it whenever i'm forced to wait an half on hour before my bus arrives at the book store. It's actually a sweet book with lots of stories that fleshen out the world of ice and fire even more. It's kinda expensive (well not really given the artwork, ... ) still twice/thrice that of a normal book, and since i practically read it all already, I son't realle feel the incentive to buy it.

I just read this raw version and it is amazing. So many details that weren't in WoIaF, but that make it really enjoyable to read and you realize that there existed a Cersei already even though she was Reyne of Castamere ahahaha

The summaries of the highs/ lows of the reigns of the individual Targaryen kings was very interesting. This meshed very well with the short story "The Princess and The Queen". Being able to read about before/ after and during The Dance of the Dragons gave the back history that GRRM has written into ASOIAF even more depth/ believability.
Left me wondering though, how the Targeryens only managed to have 5 dragons when they fled to Dragonstone Pre-Valyrian Doom, and more then 15(?) dragons +100 years after the Conquest.

dragons laying egss, with no rival houses/dragons to contend with
