Very cool, thanks for the link - I knew of them (and have one) but didn't realize the full details and magnitude. Love true paperbacks.
 
It is an interesting article. Giving them something to take their minds off what was happening around them. Good for literacy and education too.

However, I wasn't so keen on the Wall Street Journal (that is the WSJ, right?) changing the title from 'us' (on the book) to 'the U.S.' for the article. For a second I thought I was going to have to thank you lot all over again for saving the world single-handedly. :p
 
The two Superman and Tarzan editions are some of the most sought after paperback versions for collectors. A fine copy of any of the three would be $300 plus. I recently was able to get very good condition copies of The Dunwich Horror and Frankenstein for around $40 each.
