Alien overlords and anti-matter bombs

Read most of the first book in *insert series here* a few years back but for the life of me I can't remember the title/author or ANY names.

Sci-fi, alien overlords, "realistic" space travel (some wormholes but other than that purely by acceleration to relativistic speeds over long periods of time), said overlords bombed planets into submission with anti-matter bombs.

At the start of the series the very last of the overlords was dying.

That is the Dread Empire's Fall series by Walter Jon Williams, I believe. The first book The Praxis, opens with the last of the overlords dying.
