We have a two-way tie.

The stories:

The Gift
by Victoria Silverwolf

It's a lousy night to be pounding a beat on Skid Row. My boots slosh through gray sludge. I walk up to a drunk sleeping too close to a barrel fire. I nudge him awake with my nightstick so he won't burn to death. He rolls away and mumbles something in his sleep. I toss a couple of sandwiches wrapped in plastic at his feet. He won't care where they came from. Merry Christmas, Dad.

Sleigh Belle
by The Judge

Soon as I saw her, I knew the broad meant trouble. I could smell it – and I’ve got the best nose in the business.

Missy La Renne. Skin the colour of caramel, curves in all the right places, legs Saint Nick himself would want to find in his Christmas stocking.

Big Trouble. I knew I’d end up following her all over the world.

Sure enough:

“Move over, Rudolph,” said Santa. “Missy’s leading the sleigh tonight.”
