The Invuche CGI looked great for network TV. Excellent resolution to John's predicament letting the demon king Pazuzu possess him. Kind of funny seeing Manny appear and immediately chew him out for it. I like that Zed saved herself from her kidnappers. Nice to see Efren Ramirez from Napoleon Dynamite show up. The "prison break" scene was hilarious. I think Matt Ryan did a pretty good job of acting possessed especially during the exorcism.

Oooh! That was a CRACKING episode!

The "prison break" scene was hilarious indeed with Anne Marie projecting herself naked to distract the guards!

I agree, Jesse, fantastic that Zed sorted herself out. No princess in a tower, that one. :D

I saved the December episode so I could watch them back to back and wow, that was good TV. Really enjoyed it. Loved the freaked out prisoners giving John an extra wide berth, and the glimpse of Zed's past.

It was pretty good but tied up the previous ep's cliffhanger a bit too quickly.. I wanted to see more of that nasty creature....

John offering his soul to the demon was a little too quick to stave off the threat of the wall-creeper thing. And where did it go? I hope it returns soon and they don't just plot-device their way out of it again!

The prison scenes were good fun, although we did get a lot of Mexican stereotyping here... The eventual exorcism was nicely done although quicker than I expected. Ann-Marie's self-forgiveness being the catalyst, which was a good resolution to her arc. Hope they bring her back again too!

I was expecting a really poor deus ex machina to save John from his gunshot wound - perhaps 'Manny' intervening. His using demon possession was clever, not least because it kept John in control of events (rather than passively being 'saved'), but also because it was very much out of the frying pan and into the fire.

A very enjoyable episode overall, not least for the different characters with the conflict and tension between them. That, to me, is what's needed to continue to make Constantine unique and engaging as a series. It's certainly what most of the more recent episodes have done, so I can only hope it continues.

I was actually surprised that Anne Marie lived - but that's all to the good if she can inject that degree of entertainment into the show. :)
