Thank you Ursa, Quellist and Foxbat.... I'm so thrilled (to itsey-bitsey pieces) about it all, partly because of how Air of Freedom came about, partly about what I discovered while writing it and partly because it really does add (as far as I'm aware) a twist to a well known idea in the science fiction canon (in more senses than one!).
