Thirteenth International Conference on Books, Publishing, and Libraries, Vancouver

Might, except that England is closer I think. Wrong coast. Can't be much good, and very expensive. )

This is the books libraries and learning conference that address issues of publishing education and literacy in the electronic age and more particularly the impact of media upon books and reading as it affects the industry.
These conferences are held in different locations all over the world. The first one was in Cairns Australia in 2003. Then in Bejing. Last years was in Boston. Before that, Germany. They have had them in Great Britian several times.
If you buy a conference ticket, you receive a membership to the society.
They encourage you to write, publish and present scholarly papers upon the concerns of book versus electronic media.

I think this conference is more Michael Colton's, Bluestocking's, Kylara's and maybe Gary and Springs department.

Ratsy is closer, but I have no idea whether it would be of benefit for his work and school.

I saw the write up for Toronto when they had the conference there in 2011, unfortunately my mother was in the hospital at that time and I couldn't go.

If I was closer I might think of checking it out but that is still a thousand kilometers from me....well right now I'm in Ottawa ...but flying home in 2 hours.
