It was recently reported that AMC Networks bought a 49.9% stake in BBC America back in October. Price tag was roughly $200 Million.

AMC viewers will be able to watch Orphan Black on the channel for those of you that don't get access to BBC America. This also will probably get more viewers for it's other staple program Doctor Who, but nothing has been announced yet. In other words, it's a really great move by AMC. Not so sure about the future of BBC America, since I get both channels. If Dr. Who is on AMC, I will never need to watch BBC America again.

I used to love watch BBC America! Ground Force was awesome! Wonder if they still show it? I can't remember what else I watched beside Dr. Who. Sometimes their news was exciting.
