:ROFLMAO: My favorite things, WWII tanks with high school girls as their crews, engaging in what appear to be 'mock' battles against other girls in panzers. The series has a mere 13 episodes, 8 of which I have already seen. Speaking of things seen, or in this case, not seen, there has not yet been any fan service, & I doubt there will be.

The protagonists are stuck with some of the worst of WII's tanks, an M3 Lee, a Panzer IV with a short barreled 75 mm gun, a Japanese tank with a tiny main gun, a Czech tank, & a Sturmgeschutz III with a 75 mm high velocity gun. Anyway, their 5 tanks are mostly inadequate against other tanks, & intended for infantry support, except the Stug III (http://www.achtungpanzer.com/sturmgeschutz-iii-sturmgeschutz-iv.htm).

They go up against a team with 8 M4 Shermans, including a Firefly (has 17 Pounder 76mm main gun) that was apparently intended to duke it out with the Tigers. Anyway, as a fan of WWII tanks, I enjoy this series for that alone. Its interior views seem to be accurate, though as a former builder of model tanks, the interior views were always the most difficult to find, so I cannot comment on the accuracy. ;)

I watched it on HULU, even upgraded my account to the $ version, though there were still a few ads, they were far less annoying than w/o paying.

That is beyond bonkers. I've just watched a couple of clips on YouTube (one with Polish subtitles, with neither dented nor enhanced my comprehension) and the tanks themselves are really well done -- cool that they included the equally bonkers Maus. Didn't see any Russian ones, though. As for the concept itself, it feels like it came from another universe.

:ROFLMAO: If somebody had told me such a series existed, I would not likely have believed it. I found this on a page about some TV Tropes, cannot recall which, though. :D

I finished the series yesterday, & was surprised to see the Maus on one team (ep13) & to hear the orchestral-only Panzer Lied also. I wonder about the physics of tanks cornering, which they seemed to do much faster here than I thought possible. They just leaned far more than I would expect of such heavy vehicles.

BTW, sorry for the double post!
