I watched this series on NETFLIX streaming and found it extremely entertaining; in fact, funny as hell. This poor guy goes to the beach with his parents, and witnesses a mermaid changing from human form to mermaid form. Too bad that is a forbidden sight, now he must die, to protect the mermaids' secret -- unless, he marries her. :ROFLMAO: After returning to his home, he finds the mermaid being introduced to his homeroom as a new student, and thing just go from that to worse, as every one of the mermaids & mermen who threatened his life in their undersea city become involved at his high school, as nurses, principal, etc. Oh, I forgot to mention that they are the undersea mafia. :p

If I compared this to any other anime, it would be URUSEI YATSURA (THOSE ANNOYING ALIENS), in which a similar HS boy becomes involved with space aliens, one in particular, who wants to marry him.

 SORRY THAT THIS IS IN THE 'FILM' AREA!

I'm sure it'll be fine sitting here. This is the anime and animation section after all.

Both of these series though were very well done in my opinion. (Take it for what it's worth.) My bride is a mermaid is probably one of the single best comedies to have ever been produced. Honestly, I go back to watch specific episodes when I'm stressed or depressed. You can't help but laugh at Nagasumi's situation and the high jinks that follows suit.

 I have not watched enough other new anime to go back to this one, just yet. I might try the Cat Planet Cuties (I think that was the title) again, as it, too was rather funny.

I've watched far too many to where all I can remember are faces. My current situations have left me with much time on my hands, so I watch anime. I get lost in my own little world when I do. :p
