I wanted some advice or direction on comic writing.

basically asking what are some good resources to learn comic writing format, is it writen in the present tense just like screenplay.

what are some good tricks of that medium. ex, it always as really good dramatic turn to the next page and there is the dramatic image/surprise.

what are the limitations of the medium.

does types of questions

thanks for your time.

Someone will undoubtedly come along with some good books you can read on the subject, but the best books to read are the books you want to write.

Spend some time reading comics of the type you want to write. Pay attention to how they are put together, what goes on a page, where the dramatic images are located, how things are written.

All of these are all really, really good resources.

Alan Moore's Writing for Comics. The DC Comics Guide to Writing Comics. Writing for Comics with Peter David. Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics, Reinventing Comics, and Making Comics. Brian Michael Bendis' Powers Scriptbook. Will Eisner's Graphic Storytelling and Visual Narrative and Comics and Sequential Art. There was also a series of Marvel comics a few years back that included scripts. There's a Sandman graphic novel that includes a Neil Gaiman script in the back, but I forget which one.

There's also this place which hosts an archive of pro comic scripts.
