Zelda music inspired Game of Thrones theme?

So, my eldest was playing what sounded like the theme to Game of Thrones on her keyboard.

But - no - she insisted that she was playing a theme from the Zelda games, specifically, Song of Storms, which apparently runs through the Zelda series.

Here's the original version:

And here's a version played on violin (the theme starts proper at 1:24):

Am I the only one to think this sounds like Ramin Djawadi may have been inspired by this, whether consciously or subconsiously, for the opening theme to Game of Thrones?

They are similar. Clearly different enough so that copyright doesn't come into play (at least, to my ears), but I could see the argument, especially since he's written scores for video games. No clue whether he's a Zelda fan or not, though...

Gosh, they are alike, aren't they. But I sort of feel that the violin one feels a bit like someone deliberately taking the song and performing it in the style of... Because the original is less obviously the same.
