Yay! Looks like we will get our own comic con in our neck of the woods. Just in time. We've gone to San Diego CC for several years but this year we lost the lottery. No tickets. Hubby was super bummed, but this perked him up...A Silicon Valley Comic Con plus tech should be awesome.

That sound you heard Friday morning was geek minds blowing throughout Silicon Valley.
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak announced he and legendary comic book creator Stan Lee were teaming up to launch the Silicon Valley Comic Con next March in San Jose -- it's like the gods of pop culture and technology had a baby.

Yeah, baby!

Now if we can just get tickets to this one.

That sounds like a blast, but I'd need that lottery ticket to get over to the left coast. Good luck with the tickets (admission AND lottery), though!

We've been talking of coming to your side of things Grimward (assuming the inference is that you are on the right coast)...But I hear the big NY CC is just as tough to get into now. But maybe someday. We tried to get tickets to Emerald City CC, but it was way too late by the time we were locked out of SDCC. Maybe someday we'll make it your way.

I'm not entirely "bereft", as Baltimore has a decent one every year and one of these Augusts I'm going to make it down to DragonCon, which might be the best on the East Coast from what I hear. Neither has the advantage of a Wozniak/Stan Lee thing going for it, though...

Dragon Con. Friend went to that. Since SDCC is so hard to get into, we decided after we got home last year to expand and try others at some point. Emerald City, Dragon Con, and NY head the list. Silicon Valley just usurped spot number one. Cool that Stan will be there but last year he wasn't doing so well. We saw he skipped an engagement and I might have heard about another, but I forget for sure.
