Hello,

Right now I am reading China´s post-apocaliptic story The Tain and what seems strange to me is the fact all things capable of reflection (tiles, mirrors, water etc.) were destroyed by the imagos in their coming through but human eyes which are also able to reflect things were untouched. Looks like a big flaw but I am not through the whole story so I am curious how it all turn out ...

Hi

I really enjoyed this when I read it!

I can't for the life of me remember how it ends though?

Like I said, I am not through yet so I do not know the finis but so far the story seems to be very poor; there are much more better ones in the anthology Looking For Jake that contains The Tain, e.x. Different Sky, Go Between, Entry Taken from a Medical Encyclopaedia, Details or Jack.

Different Skies is my fave from the anthology! This is one was enjoyable for me but perhaps its a bit to similar to Looking for Jake!

Different Skies is a good story but it remainds me of "The Closed Window" (1911) by Arthur Christopher Benson, a tale which also deals with a window giving on a different reality and the fatal consequences for those who decide to get through to see what is on the other side.
