Automaton in disguise
As this is an event (or contest if you prefer) I'll post it here, it might help someone. For those of you with something to pitch - and willing to wade into a whole different level of frantic, Dan Koboldt is hosting another #SFFPit
The event happens over on Twitter. You'll have 12 hours to catch the eye of a publisher or agent on twitter. There are rules and guidelines - and of course you'll need a twitter account to play.

"Agents and editors will make requests by marking pitches as a favorite on Twitter. If your tweet is favorited, please follow the agent or editor’s submission guidelines. Throughout the day, we will have authors, agents, editors, and other folks stopping by on the hashtag to say hello."
Pitch contests are not for the faint hearted or those that don't know their way around Twitter so get used to it now if you are planning to take part.
