Dany makes a difficult decision in Meereen. Jon recruits the help of an unexpected ally. Brienne searches for Sansa. Theon remains under Ramsay's control.

Interesting developments. I could've done with less time in Winterfell, but if it means that the Boltons get their comeuppance sooner rather than later I'm all for it.

Melisandre travels with Stannis. What does this mean for the long term events in the books?

The tensions on The Wall were well captured.

Jorah has greyscale?

What does the cure for Greyscale involve, please, as I may have missed it. The Princess was cured, but scarred, however I think it involved some terrible consequence in return. I'm finding this Season very slow on action but only because Season 4 was so action packed. There is plenty of development in the story and the characters, and not too many dying (though I probably speak too soon there.)

Was getting a bit bored with this episode until the part with Jorah and Tyrion, beautiful setting for them to travel through. One thing I missed and couldn't check out again was, what did Stannis say when Jon first announced his intentions regarding the wildlings? It was one word, sounded like 'Fury' to me but maybe that's just all the Mad Max reviews talking, anyone hear what he said? Doubt it was that important, but just bugging me...

I thought he said something like 'fear' and that he was referring to the Nightswatch and not Jon.

I really like TV Stannis much more than book Stannis.

Jon was well on his way to “manning up” as Watch Lord Commander before he sought Maester Aemon's counsel. After all, he had already beheaded a senior watch member for insubordination, earning a nod of approval from none other than King Stannis Baratheon.

It didn't hurt, though, to get a carte blanche vote of confidence from Aemon without Jon so much as describing the action he was considering. I thought Aemon's response to Jon's fear that half of his men would hate him – half of his men already hate him – was chuckleworthy.

I groaned aloud when Daenerys started feeding the Meereen family heads (not to mention the rest of their body parts) to her dragons as retaliation for the Unsullied ambush and death of Barristan. Another bad decision that does not bode well for royal rule.

Speaking of poor choices, why in the Names of the Seven Gods, would she marry one of the family heads in another effort to bring Meereen under control? Does she plan to settle down in the Meereen 'burbs, raise a family and teach her dragons a repertoire of cute parlor tricks to amuse party guests, or does she still plan to take the Iron Throne?

She needs someone who does more than her bidding – leaving her no choice but to take Jorah back, whether she forgives him or not. Of course, Jorah's greyscale contraction may complicate matters a bit.

He said 'fewer'. He was correcting someone's grammar, can't remember who; but they said 'less' when they should have said 'fewer'.

I just can't believe BFS is dead...

Thanks for that, yeah I gather it was Stannis the Grammar Nazi in action but couldn't figure out what he was saying. Nothing to do with the plot then... :(

Mostly a good episode. The Meereen story is of course dragging a bit but great scenes with Tyrion and Jorah. Again the show writers have done well in removing/combining some unnecessary characters/sub-plots that are in the books.
