In my 'youf', I remember I had two picture puzzle books. They were both produced by the same people as they were stylistically very similar.

The idea was that each two page spread had a picture on it, that as I recall was beautifully painted/drawn. Within that spread was a puzzle, in theory, you needed to solve before moving onto the next page.

1. A Sci Fi story in which a goup of fighter pilots (they all had various types of fighters - the lead fighter, which you were supposedly flying was a star of david shaped affair). The fighters were sent on a last ditch mission to attack an enemy race's homeworld. The final page had you working out what you needed to work out to attack the enemy planet using elements of all the puzzles you had solved before.

Dimly Remembered Parts:
The aliens had something called 'The Black Light' they used which was some kind of superweapon.

The POV of the picture was through your cockpit window. There was a Heads Up Display that bordered it.

2. A story where you had to find Atlantis. The set up was similar to above and you were exploring the cities. I am even hazier on this story, other than the fact the Atlantians were very advanced yet ruled by gods. One of them was called 'Bash' I think.

Chances are these were part of a much wider collection. So if anyone recalls anything similar, please let me know. I'd love to get them for my nephews. (and have another read through myself)
