Spoilers for 2.10 so skip the rest of the post if that's a problem.

Not much to this one - several eps with the "intern" for that? The fake story would have been a much better real story than the real story. And still with the Amnesiette. Though it did seem they were about to ratchet it up a level for a second. Monroe is now the bit-part potion guy and there's no Rosalee. A treading-water ep, I guess.

I also love Hank's faith in his partner. Nick beats somebody senseless - "was he a wessen?" - "yeah" - "okay". And how nobody else minds that the guy's got a great shiner. Wessen are technically still citizens of the US of A, right? And some (like the little chipmunky plumber dude) are good guys, right? So even wessen are innocent until proven guilty? Or until a confession is beaten out of 'em?

I sort of kid but, seriously, the show needs to start swimming or it's gonna sink, IMO.

Police brutality is hardly news to other cops. Police in USA have had many scandals with beating someone to a pulp when arresting, maybe everyone saw it was Nick who gave the shiner and looked the other way.

I thought the ep was really interesting when i thought there was a fanatic Grimm killing wessen, the intern was tragic story but hardly as good as it sounded at first.

They are saving too much time with Amnesiette, like its a soap opera belong the story....

That is a huge point about police brutality.

I've been watching it as a scifi/fantasy-horror show happily bouncing along for the ride but I have to agree, shows that normalize police brutality and vigilantism are concerning.

The Hank character has been weak all along for this reason. The "Whatever you say, Nick" factor is just too easy. And I certainly hope they get Juliette reunited with her brain by the time of the final episode (two more to go this season).

This is a drama series about sometimes malevolent (and always not really human) creatures being pursued by a character whose mission in life is to do exactly that. His perceived "brutality" to those creatures is tempered by a stubborn streak of compassion which shows itself frequently. But this is not a police drama per se, so fight scenes and some "Kopf-schlagen" of Wesen bad guys (as Monroe might put it) is "de rigueur" as Renard's relatives might say.

All in all, it is still entertaining and we need a little mystery to keep us guessing. Otherwise, they could air the series finale tomorrow and everyone would just say, "Okay. I guess that's that". I prefer it the way it is.;)

I like the show and hadn't thought about this aspect until somebody else brought it up. Now that it is brought up ya gotta say, yea, this is a cop who often kills people and hides the evidence.

I still like the show, but that still makes me feel a bit queasy.
