Not tasted of all those myself, but from what I do recognize you seem to like the post-apocalyptic stuff.

Brin's 'The Postman'.
Niven & Pournelle's 'Footfall' - not post-apocalyptic at start, but once the aliens arrive the apocalypse is imminent.

Or something completely different?

Neal Asher - anything - its about as different as it gets.
Iain Banks - Culture novels.
Heinlein - revisit the 'Golden Age of SF'.
Adrian Cole - Omaran Saga, Star Requiem - more likely to find them in the US, even though he lives in Devon.

I'm sure others will proffer their recommendations before long.

I enjoyed the postman (not the film) ill have a look ath the others thanks.

Well as you've read Ready Player One, next month Armada is due out. So check that out.

W40K novels mean you might like more military SF. Been books publishes a lot of those, but so do other publishers. One of my favourites is the Legion of the Damned series by William C. Deitz. It's the French Foreign Legion in space. And if you like those be sure to read Beau Geste by P. C. Wren.
