I started with D.N Angel, so tend to gravitate toward that anime style. Throughly enjoyed it the first time through, but on the rewatch found it a trifle...
Next I watched TriGun. Loved the story line so much I later bought the series on DVD, but have yet to find a shooter I like as well. Tried three times to get into Cowboy Bebop, which has been recommended to me based on; liking Trigun, and the music, and for its story line. But I just cant seem to tie my brain to it, for which I have some guilt.
After that I wandered around alot and dont remember what order I saw and liked the following in. I'll try and give a brief on what I like in each to help out with recommendations anyone feels like tossing out there.
Saiunkoku Monogatari aka The Story of Saiunkoku: anime style, music, story line, most of the main characters and quite a few of the support cast. Second season the story felt a bit more... preachy? but I couldn't tell you what I felt I was being preached to about so that's probably the wrong word. I think I like it slightly less because
I guess modern is the word I was looking for, not preachy. I still like it enough to rewatch, but prefer the first season.
Kiniro No Chord Primo Passo aka La Corda d'Oro: music, 40% of the characters. Great use of classic music and decent portrayal of a musicians life. I'd rewatch but not buy.
Kamisama Hajimemashita aka Kamisama Kiss: still enjoying this one. Second season came out recently and I'm about half way through watching it. Definitely one I would own! Anime style, character arcs and interactions, story line... Love Tomoe!
Otome Youkai Zakuro aka Maiden Spirit Zakuro: I think this is an ova or spin off of something, cant find what though. Throughly enjoy the spirit world and how it interacts with the human one. Style, plot, characters... all fun.
Brave 10: Really enjoyed this one too, style, characters, story, setting.
Vampire Knight was pretty good. More style and the suspension of the story line than the characters. I think I must be through with my vampire phase, I cant seem to find anything in the genre anymore that holds me to it.
Fortune Arterial I watched before Vampire Knight, I remember because I liked it well enough to go looking for more vamp stuff. Characters reminded me of the ones I liked from Friends Club.
Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai aka Friends Club: Enjoyed the awkwardness of these characters and how they come together to form friendships. Style is pretty. Story arc keeps just the un- side of predictable, to humors results. I find it easy to forgive the MC his blind-spots because he is unaware of them. I've turned of several anime when the MC says flat out "I'm boring and I know it" because I think "dude. If you're boring, why would I want to know? I've got better things to do with my life than be board by your blunderings. I could go be board by my own, or watch something else. In fact! I think I will."
Ouran High School Host Club: I like the story morals, and the characters arcs are fascinating enough. Watched most of it recovering from dental work, and finished because by the time the medication had warn off, I was invested in the characters.
Fruits Basket: Enjoyed this one more than Host Club. Found the characters more relateable, enjoyed their arcs, as well as the over all story. Definitely rewatchable, but low on my To Buy list.
Spice and Wolf: Loved it. Story, Characters, their arcs, the story, all the music (End credit songs by Ringo Star), Style... all of it!
Mushi Shi I've stated at least twice, but cant seem to get into it. Might be the style or the coldness of the characters. The story seems interesting enough...
Oh! I started Black Butler on a recommendation, but could not get past the characters to the story.
Let's see... I'll have to post later if I remember more that I've started and not finished. I am certain I've forgotten some that I liked.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

she is pushed more toward marriage, and pushes back with career.
