Hi Everyone.

I've been asked along to this camp to be part of a demonstration of traditional smithing as well as demonstrating some martial skills.

We will be showing aspects of blacksmithing and everyone will be welcome to join in and try their hand, we will also be bringing completed items of armour and weaponry.

The camp is in the Forest of Dean and runs for 4 days, I will be there for all four days :)

You can find more information here: http://www.rainbow2000camps.org/druid/

Of special interest is that workshop with author Liz Williams who is a fantasy novelist and a Druid.

Hope to see a few of you there :)

About 30 mins from Bristol, heading towards Wales.

Yes there are sheep

And yes, if I catch you wearing lederhosen and chasing them I will take pictures :D

Too far to travel. Anglesea was the mecca for the druids, I am surprised they don't have it there.

Yes, very very interested.

So many details I'll have to sort out though, being the picky creature I am :D Luckily I'm quite close to Bristol so getting there is fine... Now I have to squeeze money from my parents in order to go.

It sounds really interesting though, I'll keep you knowing ;)

If it wasn't so soon I might have gone to that. Especially with Liz Williams there, I've read a bit of her stuff...

He has actually got a surgical socket in his hip, into which is plugged a machine which is permeating his bloodstream with chemotherapy drugs.

Can't be fun :(

It certainly doesn't sound it.... I certainly hope he's feeling okay at the moment

Ummm... I think the time-traveling might be an issue...
No, seriously, it sounds cool, & I would love to meet Liz Williams but I've already had to rescind on going to discworld con. Are these events something that are run on a regular basis (ie every year)?
