According to new research, British flora is facing higher extinction rates. This is apparent, for example, in corn marigolds. The higher danger level is attributed to agricultural practices which use herbicides and fertilizers, increased use of automobiles, and overgrazing.
 
Anyone who goes walking can tell this, the fields are covered in loads of grass but precious little else nowadays.
If they are mowed you get daisies...
