Tower of Joy in Season 6

Could it happen? The casting for S6 has a legendary swordsman who wields a famous sword and carrys iy strapped to his back. Could this be Arthur Dayne?

Also cast is a powerful lord of great northern family which I take to be Lord Manderly.

I saw that. I thought the northern lord might be the Greatjon? He was, of course, played by Clive Mantle of Casualty fame (American Cronners, seriously don't bother) but he definitely did not die in the Red Wedding, and is by all accounts a prisoner of the Freys and probably blimmin' angry.

I doubt they are going to do any Tower of Joy flashback stuff. They might show it now perhaps, and reminisce about the famous scene from the books, maybe. Although, if they bring Bran back into it next season then anything is possible, they could even bring back Sean Bean and have more Ned Stark scenes at will -- although I doubt their budget allows for Sean Bean.

If the casting is anything to go by, we might actually see some form of Riverlands Arc after all, which would be nice.

I would love to see the Greatjon again.

My theory, if it is Dayne that they are casting, is that they will change the original story and have him surviving the TOJ. His story will be a plot device to confirm the identity of a certain character.
