Has anyone been watching this BBC Two nature documentary series?
It really is very good. Exploring a few Japanese islands and the waters surrounding them. The animals that live there and the way people interact with them.
Beautifully shot and edited. The narrator, Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey) is superb and perfectly suited to this work.
I love how it explores the human interaction with nature and the way Japanese culture views harmonious coexistence.
Although, I couldn't help thinking about their whaling and overfishing. It wasn't mentioned in this series.
Its on BBC iPlayer at the moment if you want to catch up. Think its only 3 parts. Highly recommend.
