This is the fourth special submission window for 2015.

  • Theme - By Royal Appointment

Does it have to be a historical monarch?

I like the subject, unsure if I'll have the time. Hope to submit something, though.

The character, setting and time period are entirely up to you.

You could choose a real character from history or make one up and have them rule over a fictional country in an historical time period or current day world.

If you do choose an historical character. Please ensure it's far enough back that no one will sue!
 
If I do a real one, the chap I have in mind reigned over a thousand years ago.
 
I have written a story to submit. I just need to hone it up and maybe have someone look it over for a second set of eyes. If anything these are great exercises.
 
Still need to try writing mine. Due to recent events, been knocked a little off course (and I'm having some difficulty coming up with a storyline).
 
The special submission window closes end of Monday (UK Time). Still some time left to get your story in.

I have to re-write the entire thing after three failed attempts to get it right. I think I may have it now, but time is against me!
