I saw this yesterday on Geeks are Sexy. I'm not sure if it's a real movie, or a fan made affair, but it looks like it could be very enjoyable.

I'd be interested to read what you guys think.

Wow! What I think is: Wow! Thanks for posting this, Rodders. It's mentioned at the film's Wikipedia page that the world premiere was on July 14th of this year, in Los Angeles (this is a few weeks before it's released in Japan). And there will be two films released in 2015! The second part of the story comes out on September 19th (the Wiki page doesn't mention if that premiere is in LA, though IMDB seems to suggest the premiere is in Japan). I'm hoping the film is sub-titled, not dubbed, for the English-language market.

The trailer looks terrific! IMO they did a excellent job of capturing the look, and the spirit of the manga (which I adore). I won't be able to see this in the theater, but maybe by Christmas both films will be available on DVD. Very exciting stuff! CC

Attack on Titan has gone quite insane - that is a single anime season released and they've got a slew of major films this year alone. That said I'm more excited for the second season of the anime next year. The series thus far has progressed at a very slow pace; things happen but battles can be two or three episodes long - now I like longer slower story telling; but this also means that whilst a lot happens there is a LOT of ground still to cover; with multiple story threads still left unexplored - even if some were introduced very early on. Further there's a huge twist on the story in the very last seconds of the last anime episode which should prove very interesting to find what happens in the coming season.

Sure looks more interesting than your standard Hollywood fodder
I'd watch this

The Titans come about and the terrified survivors of humanity hide in their cities behind theses gigantic walls. Well here is the problem I have with this whole premise . What happened to all the worlds armies with all their deadly technology ? Our conventional forces alone would been more enough to have defeated and destroyed them.
