OK, so this is an odd memory that plagues me regularly. Hoping to find and re-read this!
In the mid-90's during my early teens, I read a book from which I only remember a couple of things. I'm pretty sure it wasn't very old at the time. To my young mind, it was very surreal, and there is a character who has had their eyeball removed. At some point, this character (I'm leaning towards female, but could be wrong on that) experiences intense pleasure from having their eye socket licked. Oh, and the author's first name might have been Ian or possibly Steve.
Not much to work on, but I appreciate any help if anyone has a clue what I'm talking about!
