How come nobody made a thread yet?

I liked the episode. It kept me engaged for the entire duration and Doctor's monologue was so masterfully done by Capaldi that I re-watched it thrice.

Totally agree. I was especially touched when the Doctor told Osgood that he is a big fan.

Do you think "Basil" is a good first name for the Doctor?:D

He's certainly a king of monologues so let's say Basil is a fitting name. XD

Is the death of Clara the central theme for this series?

On another note. One of those often reused exterior locations is a few minutes walk from my house.

I object when they say how awful South London is while showing flats and a community centre that aren't here. They did it again in this but it was the same place that Rose's mother was supposed to live and where Clara has moved (obviously Cardiff.) The beach and headlands shown in the opening scene looked nice though. Where is that?

I'm enjoying this season it's the first one in a few years. Love the idea of Osgood as a companion.
I would also love to see that, but which Osgood? The originally human Osgood turned half-Zygon? The originally Zygon Osgood turned half-human? The original Zygella turned Bonnie/Evil Clara turned full Zygon Osgood? She/they will never tell.

No matter. Osgood (one of them, anyway) turned down the Doctor's invitation to come aboard the TARDIS (Totally and Radically Driving in Space). The Osgood twins have ice cream to enjoy, two empty (but nicely buttoned) Osgood boxes to watch, and an Earth to defend.

I do hope to see them again.

Surely his name is Basil Disco?

Why not both?

Conversations like this are the reason I love Petronella Osgood.

"The first thing I'd do if I was to invade the earth," says Osgood, "would be to kill you."
"Thanks," the Doctor responds.
"I wouldn't even let you get talking, like you always do. Bullet between the eyes, first thing."
"Again, thank you."
"Twelve times, if necessary."
"Ah, yes, why limit yourself? You've really thought this through, haven't you?"
"I'm a big fan."
:ROFLMAO:

I love the character of Osgood because she's one of us, one of Doctor's fans. And she's so awkward and at times morbid about it. I mean, I think we all at some point thing about Doctor existing and random scenarios we could possibly find ourselves in and we think about all the ways all the alien invasions of Earth failed thanks to Doctor. She just voice what we all thought at one moment or another. XD

Excellent observation. I just found that exchange to be laugh-out-loud funny. Especially the possible need to shoot the Doctor a dozen times -- once for each of his generations.:D
Osgood's line of thinking is the perfect expression of her Human-Zygon dichotomy. The Human side loves the Doctor. The Zygon side recognizes how historically significant he has been in all those previous invasions of the Earth and knows he must be taken out at the first opportunity.
With eyeglasses and inhalers, the Osgoods are definitely "two of us.":)

Exactly. Her knowledge of the doctor can almost be considered meta at some points.

It also doubles as way fans can be. We are all fans of Doctor, but sometimes, we are also fans of his adversaries such as Missy. As such, sometimes we look at the events from their point of view. <3

Osgoods are we. We are the Osgoods. XD

Anushka. I tried the like button twice, but it just turned itself off.
What I was looking for was a double plus like button. You've hit the nail sdquarely on the head.

Yep - enjoyed both halves of this two-parter. And that speech! WOW!

Osgoods are allgood too :)

Hope "Face the Raven" redeems the show after last week's bonkers bafflement!
