I need an expert in late 1950's to early 1960's American sci-fi television shows. Not sure if this is Outer Limits or Twilight Zone or maybe something else. A military jet is about to crash in a desert when all time stops. The pilot is able to climb out of the plane and save himself because the plane is just touching the ground but right before full impact. However everything is at a standstill or frozen in time so to speak. Except for the pilot of course. He sees a truck about to run over a little girl riding her bike so he builds a safety harness to stop the truck. When time starts again he is able to save the child.
This episode I last saw in the 1980's. So the memory of it is very blurry to say the least. If anyone can identify the name of the show and episode that would be amazing because I've been looking for this for over 30 years.
