Humans Leave a Telltale Residue on Earth
So proud. We are literally the scum of the earth?
This can definitely be seen as having sociopolitical undertones more than strictly geological but it's still interesting. If you take the strata, the climate change, the fact that we basically are currently living through/causing a mass extinction event, etc., it does add up to at least a thought worth entertaining that this is something distinct and new: the anthropocene. Also struck by the "technofossil" thing: sounds like something Bruce Sterling would say.
