Iceman's Stomach Bug Gives Clues To Humans' Spread Into Europe
Actually, there's all kinds of interesting things in this article, from the iceman himself, to the co-evolution with various intestinal bugs, to modern "paleomicrobiology" (urf, what a mouthful), and the human migrations themselves. Would have liked a little more detail on the actual access to the stomach contents and much more on exactly how the DNA material was processed (and why they seemed to be specifically looking for this - just for migratory fingerprints? - rather than finding it amidst generally processed data) but this was more detailed than, e.g., CBS' little newsblurb at least.
