 As a fan of old films, I am used to seeing man & wife in separate beds, but in this film, Burgess Meredith's character was in a queen or king sized bed with his wife. At 1st, I thought he was a little boy sleeping with mama, but was very surprised to see otherwise! I know of occasional violations of THE CODE, but this! O.k., this is rather tame by today's standards, and even seems ridiculous in the case of married couples, way back then, but this is the 1st time I have seen a CODE film with such a scene.

Is it possible that they got away with it because there was a cover up...?

The Hayes codes started to fall by the wayside in the late 50's and were gone by the late 1960's.
