Following the official transfer of rights between Simon Marshall-Jones and Tickety Boo Press Ltd, the latter imprint has now taken over all rights and the outstanding costs to the anthology DARKER TERRORS edited by the multiple award-winning team of Stephen Jones and David A. Sutton.
The limited edition hardcover and trade paperback editions will now be sold through the Tickety Boo Press website and other trade outlets, while an e-book edition will be available soon.
“I am delighted that Tickety Boo Press will now be involved in the publication of such a wonderful anthology,” says Gary Compton. “The original 6 books from Gollancz undoubtedly defined the horror genre in the 1990s, and this new volume presents some of the very best stories to appear in that series.
“Also, this transfer of rights has effectively reduced Simon Marshall-Jones’ outstanding debts by a significant amount, which is good news for everyone concerned. Now the hard work begins.”
“After serious consideration,” explains co-editor Stephen Jones, “David Sutton and I decided that this would be the best course of action to not only help our friend Simon and support all that he achieved in creating Spectral Press, but it would also allow the anthology—which we are extremely proud of—to reach the widest possible readership.”
Edited by the World Fantasy Award-winning team of Stephen Jones and David A. Sutton, DARKER TERRORS collects together nineteen memorable stories by such authors as Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Harlan Ellison, Ramsey Campbell, Poppy Z. Brite, Michael Marshall Smith, Christopher Fowler, Brian Lumley and Gwyneth Jones, amongst others, along with new reminiscences by both the editors and an exclusive Index detailing the authors and stories that were included in the original anthology series.
“Very creepy stuff!” —John Landis, director of AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON and Michael Jackson’s THRILLER.
All customer orders will now be fulfilled by Tickety Boo Press Ltd., and copies are available to buy directly from the website at ticketyboopress.co.uk and selected specialist booksellers.
