Season 6 Trailer

But that's what makes it so exciting to me. Literally nobody knows what's actually going on! It's all speculation from here on. No more book spoilers! :D

Loved the trailer. Does anyone know who says "he's gone" right at the start?! Been doing my nut in trying to place the voice...

Looking forward to this, but I hope the Daenerys / Dothraki side-quest doesn't drag on too long (haven't we done the Dothraki already?) . I much prefer ass-kicking season 3 Daenerys to mooching about in a city season 5 Daenerys, so hopefully this will help her get her mojo back.
It is known.

Hilarious! I've got to wonder, though, how the Nerdists were able to record what is actually going on inside GRRM's mind?

I'm trying to resist watching the full trailer and just be content with the advert with all the heads..

Caric Van Houten (Melisandre) is expecting a baby (not a shadow one). It will be impressive if they have planned it so she has the baby before shooting season 7. If heavily pregnant during filming then will they use some kind of special effects to change her shape? OR maybe her character is not making it that far! :-O

Looks like the whole Davos storyline from ADWD is ditched, although I loved apology just before drawing his sword. I will wager my house that he will not die in this series.

I also read that Ian McShane let slip a something about his character. The Elder Brother from AFFC seems a strong candidate, which means good news for you know who.

Can't wait for the violence to be unleashed upon Lancel Lannister and adding a couple of things together I can put at least one plot strand to bed.

With season 6 looming, it would be good to get a feel on how much longer the series is planning to go on for, for the producers and writers' sake if nothing else. Game of Thrones will take about a season to finish properly I'd imagine, and I'd hate for a fairly slow-burning series to get rushed at the end if HBO pull the plug. A notice period of a couple of seasons would help a lot, presuming it's going to finish long before the final book is out (or indeed, the next one). It could go on for years yet, but I doubt it will as viewer fatigue will begin to set in after a while.

Mind you Lost had that luxury, and look what they did with that!

I think 8 is more likely. All signs point to Series 6 containing material that is from AFFC, Book 4, so there's bound to be more overlap and stretching of the timelines.

What storylines are they not caught up on? It's been a while since I've read Feast, but it seems like the show has caught up to and surpassed the books on all fronts.

Edit: Just thought about it and I'm guessing you mean Ironborn stuff. I imagine it will be cut down like the rest of the series has. I hope they finish in 7, but I could see them stretching it.

I wasn't a huge fan of the Ironborn stuff in the books, but regardless of that I'm wondering if the TV show has left it a bit late to introduce new major characters and plot lines this late in the day. The show is already very busy as it is.
