ROGUE ONE teaser trailer released

Just beat me to it! Looks great - very excited to see this one, given the time it is set in. I've said it before here, but I think I'm more excited for this than Episode VII!

Well I didn't really like the new Star Wars movie...*hides from the swinging baseball bats*, but this looks really cool. I like the gritty feel to it.

Watched the trailer this morning. Looks very good!

And Forest Whitaker!?

Take my money, Disney. Just take it.

ha ha. that. was watching the trailer thinking, this looks pretty good, then Forest popped up on screen. sold.

the lead looked familiar as well - a quick check to find out she was in "The Theory of Everything"

really liked the feel of the movie - the fight scenes are a bit reminiscent of an old school martial arts movie

Looks ok. Unsure if I'll see it, though (I'm not much of a film-goer. Most of my, rare, excursions to the cinema have been family trips. Last time I went, the prices had gone up. And the carpets had changed. And you couldn't leave through the back anymore. And there were new seats. And a new sound system. In fact, everything had changed except the currency used to buy tickets).

I think that the Anthology movies will deterimine more than the new trilogy whether Star Wars lives or dies.

The trailer looks good to me, so i will be seeing it.

Nice to see the OT technology. This'll hopefully draw my generation of fans in to the Galaxy again. I wonder if Wayne Pygram will return as Tarkin.

I also think the guy bottom right is Donnie Yen who starred in the Ip Man films. If so you can expect his scenes to be excellent (fight scenes) as he is an experienced martial artist and choreographer.

An interesting piece on iO9 on the Stormtrooper outfits from a costumer perspective -

- not least because it shows the attention to detail that's gone into the outfits:

The film’s production team has paid some attention to these differences - the frowns and handplates line up with their counterparts in ANH, which is a nice detail to see. They also haven’t just dragged suits from the archives, recasted them and set them out for filming. (Sort of like what they did for the extra scenes in the Special Editions) - these look like newly designed suits.

I liked what I saw in the trailer. The inclusion of Forest "Ghost Dog" Whitaker is encouraging as well.

I know a good trailer doesn't necessarily mean a good film. But Im thinking that in this case , This is going to be a really terrific film. (y):)

I love the remix (Not sure if that's the correct term - certainly the re-imagining) of the song at the end, giving it a martial overtone.

Can't wait!

I love the look of this. I've always been a star wars fan and I like the direction they are going and the investment in the franchise.

I agree! This looks really good. There has always been something about the Star Wars music that hits me viscerally. My only hesitation is that here we have another female lead. In the books I read, and the few movies I see, I could almost believe that there is some sort of conspiracy against having a strong and honorable male lead character. I would like someone I can identify with, not simply root for.

*In my informal consideration of the books I read I would put female leads in a solid 2/3's of them.

Parson, I'm not much of a film goer (in the interval between seeing whatever I saw previously and Episode VII, the cinema's prices, seats, carpets, exits and sound system had changed), but is it that much of a problem?

Edited extra bit: your post reminds me of when Ed Miliband wanted a woman to play James Bond :p
