Checking the Crydee site. The King of Ashes, the first book in a new world from Raymond E. Feist, is progressing well. It is envisaged that it will be submitted to the publisher in the coming months, and likely to be published in 2017.

Although some online retailers are saying May 2016.

I'm looking forward to this.

I would like to think he has slowed down. The books up to Magicians End felt a bit rushed for me, he needs to take his time and let the narrative run like he did at first with Magician. :) He likes a good origin story.

I agree. The last few novels felt like they'd been churned out just to finish the series and had a huge drop in quality. Hopefully the new saga will be back to the usual standards.

Releasing the first volume in a new epic hero fantasy series at 72 is quite something. I guess he has had his mind on it when finishing all the Riftwar related books.

This sounds somewhat harsh, but I'd like him to put down the pen. His last few efforts have been phoned in and having thoroughly enjoyed the original Riftwar saga, I hate to see his legacy tainted in this way.
