Kobo: Women over 45 are the biggest digital readers

A Kobo study, reported in the Guardian, claims that the biggest consumers of ebooks are women over 45, with women between 55-65 years of age accounting for 30% of all Kobo readers:

A reflection only on Kobo users, or the wider reading public? Either way, romance and then thrillers are the most-read genre categories.

I was in largest Limerick Eason's last week. The shelf space given to particular genres would back that up. Well, "romance" and books women might generally buy, not particularly Mills & Boone style stuff.
