Just thought I would show folks my new writing den.

Very snazzy! And you're left-handed. :D

Yes, was a pain when I worked for a living. lol. Desk set up was always wrong for me. Had to re-arrange everything, which left me crunched up on one side of the desk against the desk drawers.

I'm mad jealous now! I write at the dining table :(
.

Never used the dining room table unless I am skyping my offspring. We turned our 4th bedroom into an office years ago.

Uncluttered and elegant! I love all that wood.

Yes, it is nice. This is the outside. A local firm makes summer houses, sheds and outside man caves :sneaky: of all sizes.

That's the way to do it, no distractions. (refreshing beverages excepted)

That's the idea, though the WIFI does just about reach.

Thanks. I am very proud of it.

Wow. That's impressive. I've got a clumsy workstation in a corner of my bedroom.

Over the years I've had my desk squeezed into spaces in my bedroom, the dining room, and the living room. It's been in closets and other dark corners, and once outside in a storage shed (although we had that fixed up very nicely, and the only problem was that it was cold in winter). We've had a sort of floating population with immediate family members moving in and out and other relatives who had nowhere else to go, so my desk has floated with it, as bedrooms were exchanged and various other spaces doubled as bedrooms or were adapted to new uses. (So far, no one has ever had to sleep in the bathroom or the kitchen, although if we'd had a spare bathroom I don't doubt we'd have squeezed a bed in at some point.)

Now I'm fortunate enough to have a whole room as a dedicated office, although there are times I have to defend my territory fiercely.

It looks wonderful! You could put a cube fridge where the snack table is if you want the beverages.
