Ooh. I've been following this story. One of the quotes I read from them said that it is harder to rescue someone from Antarctica than from the Space Station.

Much harder. There is a spare Soyuz capsule at the space station. You can be back in Kazakhstan and in hospital in less than a day.

I too heard about this whilst it was being planned. It's good to hear it all went well. Aside from the cold I believe one of the big difficulties was landing in the dark without all the usual high tech support most airports have for night landings.
